Although I enjoy video games, I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore gamer or even a serious gamer. I view video games as a form of art and entertainment, not as a way of life. In general, I don't like first person shooters, racing games, sports games, or RPGs, and I won't play anything that doesn't yield satisfactory results in less than an hour or two. I mean, what's the point if it isn't fun? Having said that, my reviews are written from the viewpoint of a casual, middle-aged gamer with average motor skills and a cinematic eye. This list is far from comprehensive and only features games that I have an opinion on. It's also heavily weighted towards my preference for female action games.
Rating System: My reviews are based on a combination of gameplay, difficulty,
storytelling, performance, design, art direction, execution, technical achievement,
emotional impact, and my overall enjoyment. In other words, they're highly subjective.
| **** | Excellent - An exceptional gaming experience in all regards |
| *** | Good - A pleasant and entertaining gaming experience, marred only by occasional technical, artistic, or design flaws. |
| ** | Mediocre - An unremarkable or flawed game that has limited entertainment value. |
| * | Poor - A waste of time with no redeeming value. |
