A big step for Brandon Lee as he finally gets a chance to show the world what he's got in this exciting lightweight action film. He's a witness to a drug-related murder and is on the run from the villains and the corrupt cops that want him dead. He finally hooks up with a couple of decent cops and together they take out the trash. Some exciting action pieces allow Lee to show off his physical grace, intensity, and raw power, and his fight with Al Leong is about as good as Hollywood kung fu gets. A significant improvement over "Showdown In Little Tokyo" (1991), and Lee would rise to even greater heights with his next film (and sadly his last), "The Crow" (1993).
