About what you'd expect from a comic book movie, which is usually rather disappointing. The only thing that saves this otherwise unremarkable film is a healthy portion of really cool special effects - all of the scenes with the Violator are superb. A stupid story coupled with flat and two-dimensional characters, but fortunately it doesn't have a happy ending and the dialog is passable, unlike "Batman And Robin" (1997). This film also gets the award for "most annoying opening and closing credits of any film ever made," with little room for competition - simply intolerable.
