Average action fare with some fairly brutal fatalities. Simon Yam is great as the cool, clever, and calculating villain and Yuen Woo Ping does a great job of making us believe that he and Jacky Cheung can fight. But therein is where the flaw in the film lies. Having a fighting film without experienced fighters produces less than spectacular results, but Yuen Woo Ping has done a respectable job. Unfortunately Donnie Yen, the one good fighter in the group, gets whacked about halfway through the film after a good fight with a couple of baddies from "In The Line Of Duty 4" (1989), including the always enjoyable Michael Woods.
