Summer Heat Beach Volleyball

Year: 2003
Platform: PlayStation 2
Publisher: Acclaim
Developer: Acclaim
Genre: Volleyball
Rating: *

With the release of "Beach Spikers" (2002) and "Dead Or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball" (2003), game developers decided that the PlayStation 2 needed a beach volleyball game as well. Unfortunately, it sucks. Hard. It's unattractive, uninteresting, and unplayable, and I only lasted twenty minutes before putting it away in disgust. One of the main reasons I picked this game up was because it advertised "fully customizable characters" which is clearly not true. Having each character choose from two different swimsuits is not my definition of fully customizable. The controls are terrible and counterintuitive, and it's simply not clear how you're supposed to even hit the ball. Do yourself a favor and play any other beach volleyball game besides this one.
