Ho hum. "The X-Files" hits the big screen with what could have easily been a two hour TV movie of the week in this boring and long-winded film. More than anything, it serves as a bridge between the fifth and sixth seasons of the series and doesn't offer much else except for some bigger budget set pieces. It's not a bad film, it's just dull and full of holes and laughable TV logic. It looks and sounds really nice, includes a couple of humorous bits, and features several nice special effects sprinkled here and there, but overall it's too little too late. If I actually liked the TV show, I would have probably liked the film more since it's highly tailored to the fans.
