This is one of those films that you always see at school, when teachers are trying to impress students and convince them that musicals are cool. A retelling of Shakespeare's "Romeo And Juliet", but updated to 1950's New York and filled with singing and dancing numbers. Instead of feuding families, we have feuding street gangs (The Jets and The Sharks), and forbidden love blossoms between two rival gang members. It's okay if you like musicals.
