I don't know what to think about this film. I found it unsettling. With masterful strokes, Terry Gilliam's brilliant direction creates a dark and disturbing surrealistic world, teetering on the brink of annihilation. Bruce Willis is a man sent to the past to stop a holocaust from occuring, but time travel has the tendency to mess people up, and he's locked away in a mental institute with whacko Brad Pitt. Unknown to Willis, Pitt is the leader of the Army Of The Twelve Monkeys, who the people in the future believe is responsible for the holocaust. But all too late, Willis and his newfound girlfriend learn the truth. An exquisitely made film, but not something I want to see again anytime soon.
