Cast: Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, Harry Shearer, Rob Reiner
An extremely dry mockumentary about the history of a hard rock band called "Spinal Tap" and their struggle to rise out of obscurity. In fact, it's so dry that most of the jokes and humor fly right past the viewer, and heavy metal fans and musicians will likely not find any humor in the film whatsoever because it so accurately portrays the industry. McKean, Guest, and Shearer are brilliant as the dead serious and not so bright musicians who always get the short end of the stick. Improves with multiple viewings, once you get the joke.
