Due to public outcry over the first film, the violence was severely toned down for this sequel and a couple of silly mutant monsters are thrown in for comedic effect. To make up for the lack of fighting, the film spirals downward into lame and juvenile humor which kids might find amusing. The ultimate insult, however, is Vanilla Ice's cameo at a night club singing "go ninja, go ninja, go!" while the turtles are smashing up the place. On the plus side, pretty Paige Turco replaces the not as pretty Judith Hoag as April O'Neil, but she just bumbles through her part just like everyone else.
