More lightweight fantasy adventure featuring Ray Harryhausen's wonderful stop-motion characters. Sinbad (Patrick Wayne) wants to marry princess Farah (stunning Jane Seymour), but must first figure out how to break a spell that turned her brother into a baboon. This leads him on a fantastic quest full of magic, mystery, and fantastical creatures. Fun stuff, but Patrick Wayne seems woefully out of place and the film suffers from an overuse of rear projection and blue screen techniques. Ray Harryhausen's critters are as delightful as always, but the baboon and saber toothed tiger present challenges due to their fur.
