A mildly entertaining sci-fi action romp as Arnold Swcharzenegger is a cop framed for murder. He gets a chance for freedom if he competes on a highly popular television game show (hosted by an evil Richard Dawson) which pits him against dangerous gladiator-type adversaries. Kind of like "American Gladiators" on steroids, except that the contestants usually get killed. Not surprisingly, Arnold manages to beat the system, clear his name, and shut down the show. Mindless campy fun.
