A great looking film with nothing going for it. Sluggishly paced and inconsistent, it also tries the viewer's patience by being nearly three hours long! It's 2013, sixteen years after a terrible world war. Kevin Costner is a survivor and wanderer who gets captured by a crazed militant group. He escapes and pretends to be a mail man in order to con people into feeding him. He inspires hope in everyone he meets and soon has a small group of followers who also want to become postmen (including Costner's extremely cute teenage daughter, Ann). Not surprisingly, he finally takes out the bullying bad guys at the end, but by that time nobody really cares.
