Monty Python And The Holy Grail (1974)

Rating: ****
Director: Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones
Cast: Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin

This film is absolutely brilliant. Monty Python's crowning achievement is also one of the funniest and most clever films ever made. King Arthur (Graham Chapman) and his Knights of the Round Table have been charged by God to obtain the Holy Grail. The film follows their antics as they meet such adversaries as the Black Knight, the three headed giant, the Knights of Ni, a fearsome man-eating rabbit, and the French. Extremely clever and busting at the seams with quick wit, satire, lunacy, and sight gags. The cinematography is brilliant, and the whole look and feel of the film is marvelous.
