Ah yes, my very first Bond film. I saw this with Toby Balsley when I was in fifth grade and had no idea what I was in for. James Bond (Roger Moore) is assigned to find a stolen space shuttle and the trail leads back to the shuttle's manufacturer, owned and run by a powerful maniacal madman named Drax (Michael Lonsdale). Drax has built a giant space station which he intends to use as a safe haven for when he annihilates all human life on Earth with a deadly poison he's developed. Bond hooks up with CIA agent Holly Goodhead (major babe Lois Chiles) and together they go into space to foil Drax's sinister plan. They get an unexpected helping hand from Jaws (Richard Kiel) as well. It's corny and silly, but the action pieces are exciting and the film is never dull. Lois Chiles is superb as the beautiful and deadly, cold as ice Agent Goodhead, and is overall my second favorite Bond girl next to Michelle Yeoh ("Tomorrow Never Dies" (1997) ).
