He-Man leaps onto the big screen with this live action adaptation of the Filmation cartoon of the Mattel toy line. Not surprisingly, it's geared towards kids, making the story, humor, and action a bit too juvenile for my tastes. But a well made and good looking film nonetheless. He-Man (Dolph Lundgren), Teela, and Man At Arms must travel to Earth to stop Skeletor (Frank Langella) and Evil Lynn (wickedly pretty Meg Foster) from subjugating it. A strange dwarf (Billy Barty) and a couple of teenagers are grafted onto the plot for the kiddies (but at least Orco is nowhere in sight), and they hold the key to sending everyone back to Eternia. Dolph Lundgren is perfect for the role of He-Man, and he's never looked better. Good mindless family fun.
