Another entry in the summer of underwater action films including "The Abyss" and "DeepStar Six". A watchable and semi-entertaining tale about an underwater mining crew that comes in contact with a dangerous genetic experiment on board a sunken Russian science vessel. The critter continues to grow and take out the crew in an "Alien" type fashion until our heroes Peter Weller and Amanda Pays manage to escape and destroy it. Highlights include watching Amanda Pays jog around the mining facility in her spandex tights and watching Peter Weller slug the villainous Meg Foster square in the face.
