A stunningly gorgeous fantasy film filled with all sorts of magic, wonder, and mystical creatures. The impossibly pretty Mia Sara makes a grave mistake by touching a unicorn's horn and the world is thrown into chaos. She is kidnapped by Evil (Tim Curry) who wants to make her his bride, but her real sweetheart, the boyish Tom Cruise, takes it upon himself to save her and the world from darkness. Amazing sets and visuals, but the story is way too juvenile and sugary, and the inclusion of bumbling dwarf-like critters takes a lot away from the film.
