A lush and gorgeous fantasy piece starring a charismatic David Bowie as the villainous Goblin King and pretty Jennifer Connelly as the heroine who must save her little brother and find her way out of Bowie's mystical fairyland. Unfortunately, it's a little too "Sesame Street" for me, complete with overly juvenile themes and musical numbers.
