Knight Moves (1992)

Rating: ***
Cast: Christopher Lambert, Diane Lane, Tom Skerritt, Daniel Baldwin

A good psychological murder mystery thriller featuring Christopher Lambert as a master chess player. He is helping the police track down a serial killer who leaves behind chess related clues that only he is clever enough to decipher. But for what reason? Tom Skerritt and Daniel Baldwin are the cops working on the case but as soon as sexy psychologist Diane Lane showed up, I stopped paying attention to the story and concentrated on watching her instead. She's pretty fine. Of course, she ends up getting involved with Lambert, her prime suspect. As these kinds of murder mysteries go, the ending is pretty lame and it tears apart all of your efforts to solve the case on your own with its unpredictable climax. Not bad, and a definite must-see for Lambert fans.
