Highlander: The Final Dimension (1995)

Rating: **
Cast: Christopher Lambert, Mario Van Peebles, Mako

If there's one good thing to say about this film, it's that it totally negates "Highlander 2: The Quickening" (1991). Otherwise, it's a bad remake of the original that even steals lines of dialog and action sequences from it. So much for originality. This time around, Mario Van Peebles is an evil sorcerer who is unearthed by an archeological team. And now he wants "the prize," which magically becomes valid again because "there can be only one." Bad stuff. A poor script, weak performances, and lame action make this film instantly forgettable. This film continues to prove that the pairing up of Lambert and Peebles is a reliable recipe for crap.
