Tediously boring and excessive to the extreme. In its defense, "Godzilla" is a good monster movie, but under no circumstances should it be called "Godzilla." Something like "Night Of The Iguana", "Jurassic Park: The Lost Plot", or "Godzilla: A Love Story" might have been more appropriate. More than anything, this film was "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" (1997) on steroids, with the same cheesy characters, awful dialog, and lack of substance that dominated "Independence Day" (1996). There were several excellent stunts and effects, but they quickly gave way to sillier and more ludicrous ones. Too bad.
