Creepshow (1982)

Rating: **
Director: George Romero
Special Effects: Tom Savini
Cast: Hal Holbrook, Leslie Nielsen, Adrienne Barbeau, Stephen King, Ted Danson, Ed Harris

A collection of several short stories, all told in a pulpy 1950's horror comic book style. The stories are all pretty silly and highly predictable, but where the movie suffers most is in the visual effects. The effects are all pretty poor, and they're made a lot worse by the tendency to film at skewed camera angles using harsh red and blue lighting whenever something scary is happening. Not all that great, but it's easy to watch and mildly entertaining.
