Cleopatra's Daughter (Italy 1960)

Cast: Debra Paget, Ettore Manni

In order to save her people from being enslaved, the beautiful Shila (Debra Paget) is forced to marry the cruel and mentally ill Pharaoh Nemorat. When he dies unexpectedly, Shila is sentenced to be buried alive in his tomb, which causes her clandestine lover (Ettore Manni) to organize a daring rescue. It's a corny romance, but the sets are gorgeous and the lovely Debra Paget is enchanting throughout. Unfortunately, much of the beauty in the film is lost due to poor quality source material.
