Cast: Boris Karloff

A tedious thriller about an eccentric doctor (Boris Karloff) who is trying to find a cure for a young woman's paralysis. He is driven by the memories of his deceased daughter and will stop at nothing to continue his unorthodox experiments. When a fierce gorilla kills his trainer and escapes from a travelling circus, the doctor steals the dead man's spinal fluid and synthesizes a cure from it. The preliminary results are promising, but he needs more spinal fluid. A lot more... With the ape still at large and more mysterious murders piling up, it's only a matter of time before the doctor's involvement is discovered. Apart from Karloff's pained and poignant performance, the film is a waste of time.
