Cherie Chung is a beautiful, but dumb and unlucky girl who gets abducted by a UFO. James Li Yiu is a second-rate private eye who wants to make a name for himself by solving the UFO case. And then there's a mad scientist who drinks a potion and turns into a werewolf of some kind. Ultimately, Li Yiu fights a space alien in a lightsaber duel while disguised as a woman.
This is a classic "make it up as you go" Hong Kong comedy, and none of it makes any damned sense at all. The humor is deplorably unfunny and the film doubles down by including several inane musical numbers. Admittedly, the only reason I wanted to see this film was because it featured the Millennium Falcon. That's right, the UFO is a direct rip-off of the Falcon, except that it's missing the side cockpit. Truly shocking in its audacity. But even more shocking is the lightsaber duel at the end against a Darth Vader lookalike villain. The only interesting and original aspect of this fight is when a laser nunchaku gets introduced. The climax truly must be seen to be believed. That said, it's not worth watching the rest of the film for, which is genuinely painful.
They don't make 'em like this anymore, and I'm glad.
