Stone Age Warriors (HK 1991)

Rating: ***
Director: Stanley Tong
Cast: Elaine Lui, Nina Li Chi, Fan Siu Wong, cameo by Dick Wei

Pretty cool stuff. A treasure hunter gets kidnapped by a tribe of natives deep in the jungles of New Guinea. His daughter (sexy Elaine Lui) and a pretty insurance adjuster (busty Nina Li Chi) decide to go after him and are assisted by a missionary's son (hunky Fan Siu Wong). Some great jungle fu and acrobatics courtesy of nimble Fan Siu Wong, and some impressive kung fu moves from a surprisingly agile Elaine Lui as well. Even bumbling Nina Li Chi doesn't hold back when it comes to fighting for survival. Aside from some great fighting, there are some spectacular oh-my-god sequences including live scorpions crawling all over the actresses (ick!), komodo dragons chasing the actresses (yikes!), and our two lovely leading ladies going over a massive waterfall (gasp!). Just watch the outtakes! I'm sure this movie gave them nightmares for months! Fun and exciting, especially if you like jungle movies.
