JK Fighter Yuuki: Dangerous After School Mission (Japan 2024)

Cast: Mitsuki Nagisa, Yume

Yuki (Mitsuki Nagisa) and Reina (Yume) are members of JK Fighter, an extralegal law enforcement agency similar to "Sukeban Deka," which employs cute high school girls to do their dirty work. For whatever reasons, Mistress A takes an interest in them and has her evil underlings Iron Needle and Rose kidnap them so that they can be tortured.

And that's the entire point. This is straight-up torture porn. Five minutes of dialog, five minutes of fighting, and seventy minutes of torture, listening to the girls scream and writhe in agony while the villains laugh with sadistic glee. The only saving grace is that the torturers are women, and there's no nudity or sexual humiliation. But that still doesn't make it pleasant to watch, and after the first 20-minute torture scene I ended up fast-forwarding through the rest of the movie. The torture scenes are excruciatingly long, and the entire movie could easily be edited down to twenty or thirty minutes.

Not surprisingly, this is a no-budget affair and the production values are exceedingly low. The most hilarious prop is a 90's era camcorder that's clearly made out of cardboard. They couldn't even afford to buy a used camcorder in a junk shop for $10. The CGI effects are cheap, but effective, and the impact effects do a decent job of masking the fact that there's no contact in the fight scenes. The movie utilizes two sets, one of which is an Egyptian temple inside of a petroleum processing plant. Huh? Whatever. It doesn't make sense and I don't think it's supposed to. Maybe I'm missing out on the subtleties of the plot due to the lack of subtitles, but I seriously doubt it.

The one bright spot is Mitsuki Nagisa, who is impishly cute and has INCREDIBLE hair. And honestly, that was the only reason I bothered hunting down this drek in the first place. She's a surprisingly good actress, and she fights and emotes very well. I'm a bit shocked and dismayed that she's working in productions of this caliber when she's clearly capable of much better things, but we don't always have the luxury of choice. That said, unless you have a torture fetish, or more specifically, an electrocution and belly button torture fetish (yes, that's apparently an actual thing), then I advise staying away from Zen Pictures productions.
