In The Line Of Duty 3 (HK 1988)

Rating: ***
Director: Arthur Wong, Brandy Yuen
Cast: Cynthia Khan, Hiroshi Fujioka, Dick Wei, Michiko Nishiwaki, Melvin Wong, Stuart Ong, cameos by Robin Shou, Richard Ng, Eric Tsang

Inspector Yeung (Cynthia Khan in her first D & B film) and a hot-headed Japanese cop (Hiroshi Fujioka) are on the trail of a couple of international jewel thieves that have fled to Hong Kong. Several revenge subplots are set up, which ultimately leads to Cynthia Khan and Michiko Nishiwaki duking it out in a warehouse. The action is vicious and brutal. Cynthia Khan picks up the series where Michelle Yeoh left off, and even adopts her moves and looks for the film, which chronologically should come after "In The Line Of Duty" a.k.a. "Royal Warriors" (1986). Cynthia is incredibly cute (in an impish kind of way) throughout and Ms. Nishiwaki is quite stunning as well. The fights between Cynthia, Dick Wei, and Michiko Nishiwaki are stunning and hard hitting, delivering some of the best action that the genre has to offer.
