A big budget boring as hell action/drama about a hardcore HK police SWAT team (SDU - Special Duty Unit). Most of the film is rigorous training and macho posturing, and the team is lead by a militant Michael Wong. He does a good job, but is not very convincing as a drill sergeant. It's also interesting to see him effortlessly bounce between English and Cantonese, but for no apparent reason. The only thing that saves this abortion of a film is the peripheral presence of the tragically beautiful Carmen Lee - too bad she wasn't one of the SDU team members.
