This breath-taking film is easily the best of the UY series. Strange things are happening at Tomobiki High and it seems that everyone keeps reliving "the day before the carnival." Not surprisingly, Lum is the key to everything. Beautifully animated sci-fi craziness combined with Mamoru Oshii's flair for deep and dreamy story telling and thought provoking philosophy. A truly fantastic film. If you see only one Urusei Yatsura film, see this one.
