Tenchi and friends finally make it to the big screen! This time the gang has to travel back in time 26 years to save Tenchi's mom from getting killed by a nasty Jurai-hating villain named Kain. Sadly, Washu, Sasami, Yosho, and Mihoshi are reduced to cameo status and the pacing is kind of slow. Otherwise, it's a beautifully animated film that really pulls at your heart strings. Christopher Franke's touching score really drives the emotional impact home, so make sure you've got plenty of Kleenex on hand!
