A gorgeously animated tale about a wild spirited Native American girl (Pocahontas) and a violent and brash British mercenary (John Smith). The character design is rich and detailed, and the scenery is beautiful. Setting aside the blatant disregard for historical accuracy, the film is a typical Disney love story that boldly depicts the white man as evil demons. Some pretty powerful stuff for a kid's movie, but I'm sure most of the socio-political issues fly over the kiddies' heads.
