I admittedly flinched when I heard that Disney was modernizing Mickey Mouse. In a brilliant move, they went back to 1930s aesthetics, creating a bold retro look combined with modern flair. It works surprisingly well, and the cartoons are delightfully zany. They even incorporate some Warner Brothers inspired sass, which gives the show some extra spice. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the episodes and laughed out loud on several occasions. This was unfortunate, because I happened to be watching it on an airplane, much to the annoyance of everyone around me. Definitely worth checking out - in the privacy of your own home, of course.
