Director: Ralph Bakshi
An exquisitely animated, but wholly uninteresting effort by Ralph Bakshi, which attempts to tell J. R. R. Tolkien's "Fellowship Of The Ring" and "The Two Towers." The character designs aren't as warm and friendly as the Rankin/Bass renditions and seem to lack depth and personality. This film also seems unnecessarily confusing and disjointed, and ends rather abruptly with little resolution. Not overly satisfying stuff.
