Justice League X RWBY: Super Heroes And Huntsmen Part Two (2023)

Immediately following the events in Part One, the Justice League wakes up to find that Grimm are attacking Earth! But these Grimm are different: they're smarter and constantly evolving to take advantages of the JLA's weaknesses. When Batman gets poisoned, Flash and Green Lantern attempt to contact Team RWBY from Remnant and bring them to Earth. Flipping the script from the first installment, Team RWBY's look changes to be more grown up and geared towards DC aesthetics when they're on Earth, which is a nice switch (although Blake sadly loses her ears). They also need to relearn what powers they have (if any) in order to get to the bottom of the Grimm menace.

It's always fun to see Team RWBY in action, although this time the main focus is on Ruby and her reckless death wish behavior. Flash is still coming to grips with being possessed by Kilg%re in Part One, while Cyborg desperately tries to hack his way through cyberspace to find the mastermind who's been pulling all the strings. Interestingly, the JLA gets a helping hand from their enemies, who aren't very fond of seeing the world get torn apart by their mutual unknown foe. Except for a hilarious cameo of Joker and Harley Quinn, who joyously celebrate while watching Gotham burn.

It's slightly less confusing and disorienting than Part One, although it gets totally bonkers at the end and I had to give up on it making any sense. But it doesn't really matter because the main draw is the hyper kinetic battle scenes that dominate the majority of the movie. They're beautifully executed and exhausting to watch, and the tension and intensity can become unbearable at times. There are some nice quiet moments as well, which let you catch your breath and process the crazy action before you're thrown into the midst of battle again. The voice acting is excellent, despite the fact that I'm not a fan of the RWBY voice actors, and for the most part, the movie looks and sounds great. My only gripe was with Wonder Woman, whose rosy blush and bright red lipstick looked totally out of character.

Apart from my minor quibbles, Part Two does a great job of wrapping up what was started in Part One, and things end on a relatively happy note. Although, how long will it take for the villains to free themselves and wreak havoc across various worlds again? Probably not long.
