A silly and occasionally touching tale about a wooly mammoth (Manfred), a sloth (Sid), and a sabertooth tiger (Diego) who find a human infant and decide to deliver it to a human settlement. What follows is a series of sit-com moments and action set pieces as the trio tries to keep the baby from harm. There's also a side character named Scrat who shows up periodically to steal the show with his humorous (but cruel) plight to collect acorns. His purity of purpose and singleminded determination make him instantly loveable in a Wile E. Coyote sort of way. The computer animation is very good and the characters are well developed. The film is packed with a wide range of funny moments that both children and adults will enjoy.
