A somewhat disappointing effort after seeing "Mask Of The Phantasm" (1993), this video resembles an episode from the TV show more than a stand-alone movie. Mr. Freeze and his hibernating wife are happily living in seclusion in the Arctic Circle when a scientific expedition interrupts their solitude and destroys Nora Fries' isolation tube. Naturally, this really pisses Mr. Freeze off, and he goes to Gotham City to find a blood/organ donor in order to save his wife's life. It just so happens that the prime target is Barbara Gordon, a.k.a. Batgirl. The majority of the film follows Batman and Robin as they try to track down and rescue the kidnapped Batgirl. They finally save Barbara and Nora, but a battered Mr. Freeze disappears. A well animated combination of traditional cel animation and computer animation, but the whole thing seems a little slow and not all that interesting.
