Divided into eight installments.
This is a groundbreaking sci-fi cyberpunk series featuring Sylia, Priss, Linna, and Nene as a team of high tech mercenaries who also keep illegal Boomer (android) incidents in check. The animation and character designs are great, the action is swift and brutal, the writing is thoughtful and complex, and the characters are all very three-dimensional. Great stuff with lots of violence, decadence, socio-political intrigue, and cute girls who kick ass. The first three episodes (arguably the weakest of the batch) take us through a Boomer incident involving the military and the nasty doings of the Genom corporation. Episode 4 is a standalone side story of a car and driver who are fueled with revenge. The series really starts to swing in gear with the two part story arc in episodes 5 and 6, and the last two episodes focus more on the characters of Linna and Nene which rounds out the series quite nicely.
